Founded by Rick, a High Point, NC native with deep roots in the furniture industry, S & K Custom Furniture was built upon a lifetime of dedication to the art of furniture-making. Rick, the oldest of four, grew up surrounded by furniture factories and spent his formative years working through college and graduate school, learning the trade inside and out. His experience at Baker Furniture and his background in custom furniture design led him to Chatfield, where he launched S & K Custom Furniture, combining his passion for design with a commitment to high-quality craftsmanship.

At S & K, we use only 100% solid wood sourced locally from Minnesota, ensuring that each piece of furniture not only meets a high standard of quality but also reflects a commitment to sustainability. For every tree harvested, we plant two, supporting a cycle of environmental responsibility while creating lasting, solid wood furniture that stands the test of time. Our pieces are crafted with great care, paying attention to every detail, from the precision of our woodwork to the thoughtful selection of fabrics and finishes.
